Canasta Tournament Rules

 

Card Up: 2/1 unrated table.

Number of canastas needed to go out

is determined by the first face up card in each hand

RED: one canasta

BLACK: three canastas

WILD: two canastas

So each player is in agreeance everyone should type

at the table the number of canastas needed to go out.

 

RACE TO THE RED : 2/2 rated table.

The person who acheives the most number of red canastas wins the game.

At the end of each hand you must report the number of red canastas in the chat section

at the table. If however there is a tie at the end of the

game the winner will be decided by points.

 

Roses: 2/2 unrated table.

Play reg game to 5000 but if a player gets all

red 3's at anytime they WIN.

 

Poisoned Roses: 2/2 unrated table.

Play reg game to 5000 but if player

gets all red 3's at anytime they LOSE.

 

Piggy Piggy : 2/2 unrated table.

Played just like a reg game how ever the

pile may only be picked up twice each hand (no matter who gets it)

If some one picks it up after the 2 have already been taken

you LOSE the game.

 

Perfect Partner : 2/2 rated table.

Is played in pairs, The 1st player out of

each pair who makes the 1st canasta is the only one allowed

to complete a canasta in that hand.Team work is the key to

winning this game.

 

Freeze Burn : 2/2 unrated table.

Can not freeze the discard pile. If you freeze the pile you LOSE.

 

EVEN OR ODDS : 2/2 rated table.

Whom ever melds 1st each hand, Chooses Evens or Odds.

The opponent had the other.

Evens : 4,6,8,10.Q  

Odds : 5,9,J,K.

Wilds, aces and black 3's are for both.

 

Girls Rule, Boys Drool: 2/2 unrated table.

Cannot canasta Js or Ks. If you make a red canasta in

Qs, You WIN. If you canasta the Js or Ks you LOSE.

 

FACELESS : 2/2 unrated table.

You can't pick up the pile or any card with a face -J's Q's and kings

can not be made into a canasta or melded. If you do you LOSE.

 

The Shan and Lizzie: 2/2unrated table.

You cannot pick up the pile. Do not meld or canasta cards.

You must throw out your lowest cards. First to negative 1000 wins.

 

Iced Threes: 2/2 unrated table.

When all red 3s are on the board, you can no longer pick up the pile.

If you do you LOSE.

 

Love and Marriage: 2/2 unrated table.

First player to canasta both Kings and Queens Wins. Does not have to be a red canasta.

 

Lucky Number: 2/2 unrated tables.

First card in discard pile decides what the lucky number is.

If either player makes a RED canasta with that number

they win. Each player has to verify this card before starting

the hand YOU CAN NOT go out,

If you reach your last discard you must hit discard.

3's,Wilds or Jokers would void the auto win option for that hand.

If this happens winner is decided on points.
